In the Path of the Unicorn: Embodied Leadership workshop, we explore yoga and movement to help you step more fully into your full potential, as a purpose-driven, passion-fuelled Unicorn Leader. As we move through The Path of the Unicorn framework, we integrate body, mind and spirit, using movement and yoga, including inversions, arm-balancing, and a whole spectrum of asana, as a metaphor for transformation, and then we dive into some inquiry-based coaching exercises to help take the wisdom off the mat and into the world. This workshop will include yoga, meditation, breath-work, coaching and group discussions to help you follow the butterflies to tap into your highest potential, while fully embracing the perfection of where you are. It’s all divine!
What is a Unicorn Leader?
Unicorn leaders are analytical and intuitive, purpose-driven and passion-fuelled. They value connection, experience, love and expression as much as they value achievement, impact and measurable results. They are disruptive and have the courage to use their talent, time and energy to create massive change in the world. They answer the call to spread their magic wherever they can and know that the most powerful form of leadership is to lead by example. The question that drives all unicorn leaders is, “How can I change the world and have an amazing time doing it?
Leadership is not about a CV, but rather, about how you show up in the world. Leadership is being clear about what you stand for, who you are and the impact you’re having in the world. It’s about personal empowerment and having the courage to speak up for what you believe in and make contributions that you feel are making the world a better place. It is not only what you say, or what you do, but also, how you ‘be.’ Some of the most powerful leaders we’ve ever seen can shift an entire crowd simply with their presence. They don’t even need to open their mouths.
What is The Path of the Unicorn?
Lindsay Sukornyk, founder of Alive + Awake and transformational leadership coach and yoga guide, has developed a leadership model, called, The Path of the Unicorn. It is an integrated model of leadership that weaves together principles from various contexts, including academia, spirituality, emotional intelligence, yoga, and many other, previously disconnected, fields. She has built on the best of the academic leadership models, including transformational and authentic leadership constructs, the co-active coaching model, and added in principles and practices from experiential and spiritual practices and philosophies, allowing her to provide the best practices in human transformation and expression of highest potential. The model is deeply rooted in theory, but Lindsay’s priority is to offer practical tools and inspiration to help people to implement the theory and make real, deep, lasting changes in their lives. Lindsay ultimately aims to work herself out of a job, creating an ever-expanding tribe of Unicorn Leaders, who are out in the world, not only practicing these elevating principles themselves, but also sharing them with their circles of influence. Lindsay is passionate about working with leaders who are hungry to make a difference in the world.
